When reporting a problem

  • Mac or iPad model and operating-system version
  • CardFlow version and build
  • Camera and file type, such as CR3, NEF, ARW, or JPG
  • Source and destination storage type
  • Steps that produced the problem and the exact message shown

Quick help

A card or external drive does not appear on iPad

Confirm that the reader and drive receive enough power. Some combinations require a powered USB hub. Verify the device in Files, then reopen CardFlow.

CardFlow cannot write to a folder

Choose the folder again using CardFlow’s folder picker. macOS and iPadOS require you to authorize removable media and protected folders.

IPTC appears on JPG but not RAW

CardFlow embeds IPTC in JPG files. For proprietary RAW files it writes a matching XMP sidecar so the camera file is not modified. Keep RAW and XMP together. Some archive workflows may not import a separate XMP; deliver a captioned JPG when the receiving service must display the metadata.

Photoshop reports unreadable file information

Use the current CardFlow build and save the IPTC/XMP metadata again. If the warning continues, include the camera, RAW format, loaded template, and a sample sidecar in your support request.

Incremental ingest skipped photographs

Incremental ingest skips files CardFlow has already verified for that destination. The summary lists discovered, copied, skipped, and failed files.

FTP does not complete

Verify the hostname, port, username, password, passive-mode requirements, and remote folder. Standard FTP commonly uses port 21 and is not encrypted. CardFlow’s transfer log records attempted files.
